Programming for Kids

Comments

When I was 9, I was given my first computer, a TRS-80 colour computer from Tandy Corporation. It was a 16K computer that operated off the television similar to the others of the time-- Commodore, Atari, Amiga, etc... I'm sure you know exactly what I'm speaking of. Anyways, if you had exposure to that machine, you may remember ColourBASIC. It was a version of BASIC that lent itself to a lot of things that a kid could grasp. I am a testament to that being that it was the first language I learned. We even used the thing to do reall basic Mandelbrot sets later on in highschool!!! LOL! Anyways, there may be emulators out there you could check into for some more ideas about what kids can use. It was a godsend having that stuff to play with back then. Best wishes, Michelle.

My friends and I used to talk about which was the best computer all the time. If I had the money, I defintey would have wanted an Apple II. Great idea about the emulators. I will let you know what I find.
